Do I always need Brotli?
Brotli is usually preferable for HTTPS text assets, but gzip fallback remains normal practice.
Why are images not compressible?
JPEG/WebP/AVIF/PNG are already format-compressed; optimize them through image tools, not HTTP gzip.
