02

What the tool can do

  • Byte-level detection for EXIF, XMP, ICC, IPTC/JFIF, and PNG text chunks.
  • Metadata removal through local raster re-encoding.
  • AVIF, WebP, JPEG, or PNG output when supported by the browser.
03

Common use cases

  • Checking whether EXIF/XMP exists before publishing.
  • Creating a copy without source metadata.
  • Preparing an image for web publishing.
04

How it works inside

Metadata detection uses byte signatures, not external services.

Canvas output normally does not preserve source metadata chunks.

Questions and answers

Does it show GPS coordinates?

No. This version shows metadata chunk presence, not every decoded field.

Is removal guaranteed?

Canvas re-encode does not carry source EXIF/XMP chunks, but output depends on browser and format capabilities.
