What the tool can do
- HTTPS and root-relative URLs without credentials or fragments.
- Unique width descriptors from 1 through 8192.
- Candidate sorting and HTML attribute escaping.
Common use cases
- Preparing a srcset for pre-generated WebP files.
- Sorting an image set by intrinsic width.
- Safely placing user-supplied alt text in an HTML fragment.
How it works inside
URLs containing raw commas or whitespace are blocked so they cannot alter srcset grammar.
The result is rendered as text and is not executed in the DOM.
Questions and answers
Does it create images at the requested widths?
No. The tool does not create image files; every file must already exist and the user supplies its intrinsic width.
Are URLs checked over the network?
No. It validates only the entered text locally in the browser.
